Here's something new to try for your borders. Get some embroidery thread, string, ribbon, twine, …whatever works and you have on hand. Instead of just mounting your die cuts to a strip of paper to create a border, why not tie them on. This takes up a little bit more room but can add dimension and pizzazz to an ordinary layout. 

The Woody layout has each horseshoe looped through the middle hole with the ends secured behind the brown strip with Therm O Web memory mount (very strong stuff). The ornaments are hung by punching two holes side by side on the main strip. Punch a hole in the die cut and then string the two ends through the reverse side of the strip and tie the bow.
